It's time to refresh!
With uprisings, tragedies and even life's self-inflicted complications, this world sometimes feels like it's going absolutely crazy. And you know what? It is. But God is still very firmly seated on His throne and we as believers in Jesus see life through a different lens. We’re in a war. This Christian walk is not for wimps! If ever the body of Christ needed to unite to be most effective, it's now. The world is crying out. And our time here is so short in light of eternity. Let's live it completely committed to the cause of glorifying our Lord.
The idea behind Refresh Weekends was originally birthed out of a need at 1st Baptist Church of Jackson, Alabama. A group of members got together and began to pray about a retreat like the Disciple Now weekends their youth enjoyed, that would drive them closer to Jesus and to each other. That first weekend was called “Come Together,” and we experienced a gentle move of God along with some good food, fun, laughs and fellowship. We walked away more prepared for the daily battles we face.

Repent then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
